ABIX Summary
Australian women generally have less superannuation than men. Most people close to retirement do not have enough superannuation for a financially secure future. Men aged from 60 to 64 have an estimated mean super balance of $A108,400, while women have $A36,600. In addition, between 40 per cent and 45 per cent of women aged 55 to 65 have no super savings at all. New super rules encourage people to leave their money in super until they need it. However, it is thought that people with low super balances will continue to access their money as soon as possible.

hhhmmmmm… is this you?
if so, why so?
