What a week! the “Selling” Scorecard, according to me

BS2 = much interest generated for this Online Retailer
Look forward to pursuing some of the more serious contenders next week

BS5 = potential seller very interested
Proposal developed and offered for consideration

BS7 = all signed up, with the marketing campaign started
Let’s see what inquiries come in next week

BS8 = potential seller very interested

Proposal discussed but on hold for 4 weeks.
Had signed with someone else but isn’t happy with them

BS9 = first meeting with potential seller set for Feb 18
Plus development of process around the incoming “Sellability Score” inquiries and generated reports and how to best serve them once the report is done…
It’s all happening!
There is definitely a shift happening in the market and it’s a good shift at that.

Is this for you? Flexible/Part-Time Online Fashion Business

Are you looking for a business to make your own?

Are you a “Fashionista” who has always wanted to own your own fashion business but thought it out of your league?

Could you add this to your existing business perhaps?

Then maybe this little business is for you…

Working approximately 15 hours per week, the owner is making an adjusted profit (after paying for expenses, including stock) of $38,000 – $48,000 per year for the last 2 financial years.

 Ideal business for those who do not want to take the risk of a “new start up” and prefer to take over a proven business model.

Minimum overheads and low stock value.

 The online business is already fully functional and profitable; therefore there will be no lag time in terms of creating immediate revenue.

 The current owner has already done all the hard work setting up this business. Many variations of process have been tried, through trial and error and the current processes have proven to be profitable, with minimum working hours.

 Products are fashion oriented and would suit those with interest in fashion.

Flexible working hours and potential for further growth.

 As part of the sale, the current owner is prepared to pass the knowledge, tips and tricks of the trade on to the new owner.

Price includes all stock and equipment.

There are good retail businesses around you know…

In town for a meeting with a city retailer this morning, I wondered what I’d find.

The word “retail” is, at the moment, almost a word that should no longer be used! It’s a shame because when introduced to one business that’s working, and working well, you don’t want to see it tarred with the same brush that is the doom and gloom of others experiences.

This business may come on the market, that remains to be seen. The key thing is though that there are retailers doing well and they should be regarded accordingly.

the phones are running hot!

Not sure what’s happening…

I’ve been back on deck for just over a week now and I can’t get off the phone! A good problem to have, yes, I agree. Now I’m wondering what is driving the perceived sudden interest in wanting to discuss selling the business, selling the Mother of a Business even.

Previous years started off rather slow, requiring the marketing calls be ramped up. Calls to accountants for example, who may know of potential businesses for sale. But no, not this year. The calls are coming through to us, both myself and my brokers colleagues, thick and fast.

Most encouraging I must say.

Granted, not all with convert into a true sale proposition. It’s certainly reassuring though to see that Business Owners are genuinely willing to explore a Sale as an exit option.

Keep the calls coming!
